# [[Campaign 2]] - [[Return to Haven's Breach]] ## [[30 Ches 1489]] We last found ourselves in the midst of battle against [[Gruiltaxsch|Chief Gruiltaksch]] and his [[Shaman|Shamans]], who we interrupted in the midst of some icy ritual that seemed to be meant to somehow empower Gruiltaxsch. A bloody battle ensued, with [[Dalas Greybark|Myself]], [[Prynazalya|Pryn]], [[Big Inky]], and [[Ag]] all being knocked unconscious and receiving [[Lingering Injury|Lingering Injuries]] at least once. Ultimately, we were able to defeat Gruiltaxsch, with Ag dealing the finishing blow using a [[Water Bullet]] combined with the curse of the [[Laverasala Curse Set]]. Big Inky claimed Gruiltaxsch's [[Glacial Maul]] and for a moment, it seemed were victorious, or at least that the tide had turned. However the ritual did not end with Gruiltaxsch's death, and soon after another berserking [[Lizardfolk]] emerged from within: the [[Son of Gruiltaxsch]]. We continue to fight, bloodied and depleted, while the ritual blizzard continues on and a seemingly limitless supply of lizardfolk streaming in from further within the caves, where the Vela prisoners are surely held. Things are looking grim, but still we fight on. Try or Die Trying. And with that, we return to... my turn.
