Moon Crests are said to ward off [[Sea Serpent|Sea Serpents]] and other sea monsters, and are employed heavily by sailors who cross [[The Deep]]. Moon Crests appear as semi-translucent stones with a swirling white mist beneath the surface. They emit a soft moonlight. There are at least two known sources of water capable of creating Moon Crests: the [[Lake of the Pale Lute]] deep within [[Mistveil]] in [[The Feywilds]] and [[Far Eastern Moon Crest Lake|A Lake]] in [[The Far East]] of [[Crescada]] on [[The Material Plane of Caledon]].
