Its current application allows the user to trace over a spell in their spellbook to allow a more powerful casting of the traced spell._ After a [[Long Rest]] choose a spell you have prepared. You cast this spell at one level higher than the spell slot you used in the casting. If you can't cast spells of that level, roll a DC 14 [[Arcana]] check, casting the spell on a success. After each long rest you can change the spell to which this item applies as the ink magically reenters the pen.
