A holiday celebrated in [[Kessig Monastery]] on 29 Kythorn each year. It is celebrated by leaving a whole roast goat on a platform in the heart of the woods, at the foot of a statue of [[Kessig Before the Two Who Understood]]. Kessig statues are not uncommon throughout the woods near Gavony and in the separated mountain area. Former students and monks/nuns in absentia often celebrate this day wherever they are by leaving an offering of roast meat at a shrine or by a wild place if there is no Kessig statue available.
