Soon, the party will return the [[Keystone of Astrazalian]] to [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]], so that it might phase between [[The Material Plane of Caledon]] and [[The Feywilds]] once again. Enjoying some drinks, the party, aided by Lazhna's [[Fabricate]], decides to turn the [[Counterfeit Keystone of Astrazalian]], a giant crystalline medallion that once fit around [[Thrumbolg, The First Lord|King Thrumbolg]]'s neck, into a table commemorating their adventures. They include in [[The Boy Scout Boy's Table|the table]]: - Three teeth from the [[Cinder Isles Dragon|Red Dragon]] of [[The Cinder Isles]]. - [[Or's Cutlass]], damaged beyond usefulness fighting [[Gray Ooze|Gray Oozes]] in [[The Necropolis of Luvon Ilix]]. - The [[Fomorian Commander's Smooched Letter]] that Valdove pilfered during the recent heist. - [[Jié ní's Assless Chaps]]. - Light's painting of [[The Primal Gardens]] in [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]] - Yuh tries to put in the [[Ioun Stone of Reserve]], but Lazhna stops him and takes the stone for herself. - [[Lazhna's Wanted Poster]], which Or gathered after Lazhna was caught using [[Distort Value]] during [[Post-Reclamation of Erba Terra Downtime]] - [[Lazhna's Jade Middle Finger]] - [[Manticore]] Teeth from [[The Reclamation of Erba Terra]] - [[The Daily Port's Call of 28 Flamerule 1458]], which records [[The Final Confrontation With Y'Driltha]] - A letter that [[Verrisi]] wrote to Lazhna prior to [[The Quest to Defend Aubreck Drallion's Ship]] For his help in retrieving the ring, Or gives Valdove the [[Ring of Mind Shielding]] and introduces him to [[Or (Ring of Mind Shielding)]]. Lazhna begins copying spells from [[Zasal's Backup Spellbook]], while the others engage in a few rounds of drunken arm wrestling, ending in Valdove shockingly beating Or. The party has a feast, enhanced by Ayula's spices, and enjoys a moment of rest and relaxation. --- # [[2 Hammer 1459]], [[Three Old Kegs]], [[Krashaprovos]] Jié ní enjoys the cold winter morning outside. Valdove pawns [[Iris the Enlightened]]'s [[Sun Staff]]. Lahzna enjoys a quiet morning copying spells. Or reads [[The Daily Port's Call of 2 Hammer 1459]]. Ayula goes shopping and gets 1000 [[Gold]] worth of [[Rare Unguents]] for the spell [[Reincarnate]], and then heads to [[Gabriel's Artisan Patterns|The G.A.P.]] for the first time! Ayula orders a custom tailored professor-core outfit with nice earth tones. Yuh and Valdove take a bird batch in a public fountain with [[Assorted Bath Bombs]] that Valdove picked up. Ayula later joins in. Or and Jié ní head to [[Gabriel's Artisan Patterns|The G.A.P.]] and meet [[Clarise]], who explains that [[Gabriel Hallevax]] is away adventuring, inspired by The Boy Scout Boys. They trade information about [[Translucent Wool]] from [[Kono]], as well as the fact that [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]] may once again return to [[The Material Plane of Caledon]] in the coming year. Clarise gives the party 9 [[Platinum]] for the information and the samples of wool they provide. Eventually, the party reunites in [[Three Old Kegs]] and discusses their next adventures. The party considers their ultimate goal, their [[Quest to Kill The Thought Collector]]. They now have [[Luvon's Pan Flute]] and [[The Cinder Isles Pyre Shard]], which can shred the armor of [[The Cthaeh]] and disarm [[Orzith Ilix, The Thought Collector|Orzith Ilix]]' immunities using [[Dispel Resistance And Immunity]]. The last piece they need is some kind of way to get around The Cthaeh's future sight, which would allow The Thought Collector to anticipate their attacks. They discuss a few options: - Stopping time somehow may stop this power. - [[D'argana]] at [[The Silverhand Academy]] may have some information. - [[Mina]] and [[Gravi]] may have some information. - They wonder how they might separate The Thought Collector from The Cthaeh, removing his access to this ability. - They wonder if it's possible to convince The Cthaeh not to share this power or feed The Thought Collector with false information Ultimately, the party pursues discussing the matter with [[D'argana]]. They head to [[The Silverhand Academy]]. They find [[Lilthiliana]], who guides them to meet [[D'argana]]. They proceed through a portal to [[De'argana's Lair]], far to the east of [[Krashaprovos]]. She describes what she knows of [[The Cthaeh]]: - The Cthaeh is ancient. De'argana describes it as "the original" [[Tree of Knowledge]], implying there are more. - It pulls it's power directly from [[The Weave]]. It is situated on a [[Leyline Nexus]]. De'argana describes four relics that she knows of that can stop [[Chronomantic Magic]]: - [[Chronomancy Stopping Artifact in Stygia|An Artifact]] in [[Stygia]], the fifth of [[The Nine Hells]]. - [[Chronomancy Stopping Artifact in The Crystal Badlands|An Artifact]] in [[The Crystal Badlands]] of [[The Abyss]]. - [[Chronomancy Stopping Artifact in Eronia|An Artifact]] in [[Eronia]], the second level of [[Elysium]]. - [[The Sands of Time|An Artifact]] on [[The Corpse-Asteroid of Aarakontias]] in [[The Astral Sea]]. The party weighs their options. - They are sick of [[The Nine Hells]] after [[Grom Rescue Mission]], [[The Final Confrontation With Y'Driltha]] and [[The Search for the Pyre Shard of the Cinder Isles]]. - They are not so sure about visiting [[Eronia]] after killing [[Ciradyl Elastraee, The Maiden of the Moon|The Maiden of the Moon]] in [[The Burning of the Brokenstone Vale]]. - They decide [[The Abyss]] sounds awful. - However, going to [[The Astral Sea]] sounds fun, so they settle on that option. The party is unsure how to traverse The Astral Sea. Ayula [[Sending|sends]] to her old friend [[Xoruh]], who spouts some nonsense about [[Spelljammer|Gummi Ships]] and [[Keyblade|Keyblades]]. The party decides to return to [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]] and return the [[Keystone of Astrazalian]], and to question [[Mina]] and [[Gravi]] about traversing The Astral Sea. The party [[Plane Shift|Plane Shifts]], returning to [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]] in [[The Feywilds]]. --- The party arrives in [[The War Room]], where [[Lady Shandria]], [[Efra Bloomwhisper]], [[Mia Corvere]], and [[Wyrran]] are present. Because of the differences in [[Fey Time]], it has been less than a full "day" in the Feywilds since the party departed on [[The Keystone Heist]]. The party hands over the [[Keystone of Astrazalian]]. With haste, they return the Keystone to it's rightful place, and the town celebrates. [[Mina]] and [[Gravi]] check on the balance of [[Fey Time]], and find it synced up with [[The Material Plane of Caledon]]. The Keystone is acting as a [[Planar Anchor]], binding the two planes closely together in this space. During the celebration, Lazhna and [[Mia Corvere]] speak, and Mia apologizes for her secrecy and disregard for the party in the past, and thanks them for their service. Ayula is dragged into the kitchen of [[The Firefly Lantern]], where she helps cook. [[Tsuki Lightfang|Tsuki]] and Light converse over a bottle of [[Yossei Liquor]]. Tsuki will return home to [[Yossei]]. Valdove catches up with [[Elwin]], [[Holeman Brother 1]], [[Holeman Brother 2]], [[Holeman Brother 3]], and [[Isid]]. Using [[Marodauch's Pen]], he concocts a contract that gains them a residency at [[The Firefly Lantern]]. Lazhna and Ketrine catch up, and share a hug. They discuss once again the idea of Ketrine returning to [[Gavony]]. Lazhna tries to set her mom up with [[Champ]], who is nearby trying to work up the courage. Or people watches from the branches of [[The Firefly Lantern]], cautious after his attempted kidnapping during [[Downtime in Astrazalian]]. [[Gravi]] comes to join him, and they lament The Thought Collector's control of Or over a bottle of [[Wine]]. Everyone celebrates and rests. --- # [[3 Hammer 1459]], [[Astrazalian, The City of Starlight|Astrazalian]] The party convenes at [[Astrazalian Observatory]] with [[Mina]] and [[Gravi]], who they ask about [[Spelljammer|Gummi Ships]] as well as [[The Corpse-Asteroid of Aarakontias]]. Mina and Gravi are not familiar with the Asteroid, but have seen [[The Corpse-Asteroid of Frindel]]. Mina and Gravi tell them about [[Spelljammer|Spelljammers]], and reveal that they recently discovered [[The Formerly-Known-As-Calibur|an ancient spelljammer]] that predates the city within the observatory! The group plans a test flight in 2 hours and takes care of preparations. - Ayula sneaks some [[Rum]] on board. - Lazhna buys some [[Feywilds Plants]] to bring on board. - The group gathers rations, furniture, and supplies for their trip - Light recruits [[Tsuki Lightfang|Tsuki]] to the crew. During preparations, the group discovers the ship was once called "The Highwind", but they re-christen it *[[The Formerly-Known-As-Calibur]]*. The group boards the ship for a test flight. Mina and Gravi pull levers and gears in the Observatory, transforming it into a launch pad, with the top of the observatory open and the ship pointed upwards. They initiate the launch ...and the ship falls downwards through a [[Portal]] to [[The Astral Sea]]! --- The party finds themselves amongst the stars in [[The Astral Sea]], but nobody among them knows how to pilot a Spelljammer. Or casts [[Borrowed Knowledge]] to grant himself the ability, and explains the workings of the ship before taking the [[Spelljamming Helm]] and guiding them back towards [[The Feywilds]] with a thought. As they approach, they see [[The Material Plane of Caledon]] at first. From this far up, they can see the fires from the [[The Conquest of Urgan, Doombringer]] on [[Lacodia]]. As they approach closer, Caledon shimmers and is replaced with it's mirror, The Feywilds. As Or takes in the ship for a landing, he spies [[The Lair of The Cthaeh]]. The group lands, and after discussing with people on the ground, find out that they were gone for only seconds, a useful lesson in [[Astral Sea Time]]. Before departing from Astrazalian, the party discusses their reward for [[The Keystone Heist]] with [[Lady Shandria]]. After some negotiation, she gives them 2100 [[Gold]] and 3 [[Revivify Diamond|Revivify Diamonds]]. The party boards *[[The Formerly-Known-As-Calibur]]* again and sets off for [[The Material Plane of Caledon]] to recruit a crew. --- The party hitches their ship to the roof of [[Three Old Kegs]], and goes into town to finish their preparations. In search of canons, they meet [[Robert Flickem]] and buy several [[Gatling-Cannon|Gatling-Canons]] and [[Harpoon|Harpoons]] from him for the ship. While in [[Robert Flickem's Shop|the shop]], they notice a collection of small figures resembling themselves, which Robert calls [[Flickemabob|Flickemabobs]]. The party buys several: - [[Or Flickemabob]] - [[Lazhna Flickemabob]] - [[Light Flickemabob]] - [[Valdove Flickemabob]] - [[Jié ní Flickemabob]] - [[Yuh Flickemabob]] - [[Ayula Flickemabob]] - [[Multi-Headed Hydra Flickemabob]] Or recruits Bob to [[The Crew of The Formerly-Known-As-Calibur]]. The party heads to [[Gabriel's Artisan Patterns|The G.A.P.]] and gets shiny new outfits they consider to be more fitting for space, including [[Tin Foil Hat|Tin Foil Hats]]. Next, the party tracks down [[Colonel Nicol]] and recruits him to the crew. He accepts, on the condition that he is made [[Captain]]. Before leaving, Lazhna mails a package at [[The Daily Port's Call Print Shop]] and recruits [[Pip]] and [[Grom]] in the process. Ayula tries recruiting [[Bravana]] but fails miserably after ripping up her paperwork to free her up from work. Light recruits [[Carvoron]]. The party rests, planning to depart on their [[Journey Through The Astral Sea]] in the morning. ---
