# Summary
## [[The Burning of Indigo Valley]]
[[Dalas Greybark]], having just completed a delivery for [[The Alavastian Army]] enters [[The Beargrass Inn]] and comes face to face with [[Prynazalya]], [[Tanuryn]] and [[Ovranzo]]: three [[Arzylian Kobold|Arzylian Kobolds]] that closely resemble the great [[Crystal Dragon]] [[Arzyliamorn]] that is revered in Dalas' culture. Shocked and unprepared to face something so close to the home he left so long ago, Dalas turns and exits as quickly as he came, opting to smoke on [[Dalas Greybark's Cart|His Cart]] instead.
As he sits on his cart, burning [[Indigo Flower|Indigo Flowers]] float by, followed by a war cry: the town is under attack by [[Urgan's Army]]! Dalas rushes to prepare his cart and flee the burning and besieged village. As he prepares his cart, [[Prynazalya]] and her companions rush out of [[The Beargrass Inn]] alongside several other refugees as [[Goblin|Goblins]] and [[Orc|Orcs]] swarm and begin attacking.
Dalas luckily avoids the attack of a nearby orc as he brings the cart around to the front of the inn. Meanwhile, Pryn and the Kobolds fight off the Goblins who have surrounded them. The Kobolds and several other refugees board the cart, followed by multiple goblins and an orc as Dalas speeds away.
One Goblin jumps on Dalas, stabbing him repeatedly and nearly killing him while the Kobolds fight off the other combatants. Behind them an [[Ogre with a Maul the Size of Multiple Children|Ogre]] storms through the town, smashing through buildings in pursuit of the cart. Ovranzo knocks the Orc off the cart with a [[Firecracker]]. A Goblin flees, and another is defeated by Tanuryn and Pryn. Dalas is finally able to rip the Goblin stabbing him away and throws him off the cart. Though grievously wounded, the survivors ride away victorious.
Dalas drives the cart hard through the night back towards [[Squall's End]] before eventually coming to a stop around noon the next day, exhausted. The group rests for a moment and discusses [[Morning Mountain Cuisine]], [[The Storming of Morn's Peak]], and Pryn's journey to find [[Galad Steelsworn|Sir Galid Steelsworn]] of [[The Order of the Green Blades]]. The refugees thank Dalas and the Kobolds for their help, but Dalas insists that the Kobolds are the true heroes.
The refugees travel for several more days before eventually reaching Squall's End. After informing the local [[The Alavastian Army|Alavastian Army]] soldiers of the apparent fall of Indigo Valley, Dalas returns to [[Land-Trade Inc. Headquarters]] to collect his pay from [[Gresha Redmud]], who is dismayed at the company property destroyed in Indigo Valley, but not the loss of life. Dalas urges her to flee Squall's End before [[Urgan's Army]] arrives and quits.
Meanwhile, Pryn and her Kobold companions seek out information on [[The Order of the Green Blades]], and end up at [[The Diprosopus Goat]] in search of information. Pryn tells her story to [[Rinda]], who learns that Dalas plans to leave [[Squall's End]]. Rinda rushes out of the tavern in search of Dalas.
In the streets of Squall's End, Rinda catches up to Dalas. Dalas tells her how dire the situation has become, and Rinda resolves to leave Squall's End as well, abandoning The Diprosopus Goat in the process. Dalas and Rinda pack their things while Pryn visits [[Squall's End General Store]] and buys a [[Sea Serpent Candle]] for [[Prynazalya's Hoard|Her Hoard]].
The refugees regroup, along with [[Grub|"Grub"]] and load up Dalas' cart with their things. They depart, and head south towards [[Valikin's Landing]]. A few days later, they arrive to find hoards of refugees trying to get into the massive city, both by land and sea.

## [[16 Eleint 1488]], [[Indigo Valley (Town)|Indigo Valley]]
[[Dalas Greybark]] walks into [[The Beargrass Inn]] and sees [[Prynazalya]], [[Tanuryn]], and [[Ovranzo]]: three [[Arzylian Kobold|Arzylian Kobolds]], who closely resemble the legendary dragon [[Arzyliamorn]]. Panicked at being face to face with something so closely linked to his past, he turns around and walks out before even placing his order.
The Kobolds think nothing of the unassuming man entering the building and exiting again quickly.
Dalas goes and sits on [[Dalas Greybark's Cart|his cart]] and smokes some tobacco from his pipe to calm down. As he sits a [[Random Alavastian Army Soldier|Soldier]] comes by and asks Dalas if he would be willing to take refugees from [[The Lacodian Frontier]] further east. Dalas accepts.
A burning indigo flower floats by on the wind. Dalas turns to see the far end of the town burning: [[Urgan's Army]] is here and laying waste to the town.
[[Orcish]] war cries sound out as Dalas prepare [[Miece]] and [[Flame Emperor]] to leave immediately.
Meanwhile, Pryn, Tanuryn and Ovranzo rush outside, but not before grabbing the bread some other refugees left behind.
As Dalas prepares his cart to leave, he catches a glimpse of Pryn rushing out of the inn, and realizes he cannot leave the little dragon behind. Just then, an [[Orc on a Worg]] rushes by and kills an [[The Alavastian Army]] Soldier. Another Orc attacks Dalas, but is kicked away by [[Miece]].
[[Goblin|Goblins]] rush the refugees pouring out of [[The Beargrass Inn]], including the three Kobolds. Pryn lets out a [[Kobold#Draconic Cry|Draconic Cry]], rallying the kobolds against the goblins. Tanuryn strikes a goblin, killing it. Ovranzo shoots a [[Firecracker]] at another Goblin wounding it.
Dalas pulls away from the Orc attacking him and brings the cart over to [[The Beargrass Inn]] and calls for everyone to hop on.
Pryn, Ovranzo, Tanuryn and other refugee families from the inn jump on, along with several other goblins and an orc as Dalas speeds away.
Behind them, an [[Ogre with a Maul the Size of Multiple Children]] crashes through a building, stomping towards them.
A Goblin jumps on [[Dalas Greybark|Dalas]] and stabs him. Meanwhile, the orc and goblins do battle with the kobolds as Miece and Flame Emperor charge forward.
Pryn gives Ovranzo [[Bardic Inspiration]], playing [[Darcy Leap the Wall]]. Ovranzo knocks the Orc off the cart with another Firecracker, sending him tumbling away.
Dalas struggles to pull the goblin off him and fails as the goblin continues stabbing him, bloodying him.
Tanuryn viciously wounds a Goblin and is nearly killed himself.
Another Goblin stabs Pryn and then jumps off the cart, hoping to live to fight another day.
Dalas finally pulls the Goblin attacking him away and throws him off the cart.
The final Goblin stabs Tanuryn, bringing him to deaths door. At the last moment, Tanuryn grabs the goblin's arm and restrains him, giving Pryn the opportunity to cast [[Green-Flame Blade]] and slice the Goblin's arm of, sending the dead Goblin tumbling away form the cart.
The survivors ride away as the battle rings out behind them.
Dalas pulls a [[Healer's Kit]] out from the storage area beneath his seat so that the Kobolds may tend their wounds.
Dalas rides, and rides, and rides, and rides through the night despite his exhaustion. Pryn casts [[Light (Spell)|Light]] on the front of the cart, creating a sort of headlight.
## [[17 Eleint 1488]], [[The Northern Route heading out of Squall's End]]
Dalas rides until around noon, finds a relatively secluded spot, and parks the cart for the first time.
Dalas takes some time to cook some rice and beans as the group of refugees rest. Dalas teaches Pryn what beans are and they discuss Gem Kobold Rock Cuisine. They discuss [[The Storming of Morn's Peak]], the fall of [[Nylavorna]], the Kobold's quest to reach [[Valikin's Landing]] in order to find [[Galad Steelsworn|Sir Galid Steelsworn]], and their ultimate goal of retaking their home.
The refugees thank Dalas and the Kobolds for rescuing them, Dalas downplays his contribution, stating that the Kobolds are the real heroes. One of the other men offers to drive the cart for the next leg of the journey, Dalas, exhausted accepts.
The group rests for a while, and then gets back on the road, heading back towards [[Squall's End]].

## [[25 Eleint 1488]], [[Squall's End]]
The refugees of Indigo Valley arrive in [[Squall's End]]. Dalas informs the local guards that Indigo Valley has fallen and he rushes away with the news. The refugees disembark and go about their business in town.
Dalas goes to see his boss [[Gresha Redmud]] to get paid upon completion of his delivery. Gresha is surprised to see Dalas so soon, as she did not expect him back for two more days. Dalas informs Gresha of what has happened in Indigo Valley and she questions him about the other carts she sent there. Dalas says that he saw other carts, but does not know what happened to them or their drivers because he was too busy running for his life. Gresha begins cursing about the carts she has to replace, giving no concern to the lives that may have been lost.
Dalas takes his pay and Gresha shorts him again by a few silver. Dalas thinks of how much it will cost to find passage to [[Krashaprovos]], far way from [[The Conquest of Urgan, Doombringer]]. He figures it will take about 50 [[Gold]] and stands his ground, asking Gresha for the rest of his pay. She relents, handing him the last few silver, leaving Dalas with a measly 7 Gold, 18 [[Silver]] and 17 [[Copper]].
Dalas urges Gresha to leave [[Squall's End]] before [[Urgan's Army]] inevitably reaches the town. At first she refuses, saying Squall's End has always been her home, but then seems to reconsider. Dalas states that he will be fleeing and may or may not do work for Gresha again. Gresha is displeased with this news, and Dalas departs and heads [[Dalas' House|Home]] to begin packing the few things he has.
Meanwhile, Prynazalya and her companions begin looking for [[The Order of the Green Blades|"Dragon Sword Guys"]], and while there are none in Squall's End, the locals point the Kobolds towards [[Rinda]] at [[The Diprosopus Goat]] for rumors and information.
Pryn discusses recent events in [[Indigo Valley]] with Rinda, mentioning that they were heading on to Valikin's Landing with Dalas. Rinda rushes out of the building to go find Dalas. She catches up to him near [[Land-Trade Inc. Headquarters]]. They discuss how dire the situation with the war has become and Rinda plans to leave Squall's End as well.
Meanwhile, Pryn visits the [[Squall's End General Store]] where she purchases a [[Sea Serpent Candle]] for [[Prynazalya's Hoard|Her Hoard]] from the [[Squall's End General Store Shop Keeper]]. She admires the candle as she regroups with the others.
Dalas takes his cart, along with [[Miece]] and [[Flame Emperor]] and begins preparing them for the trip, without Gresha's permission.
Dalas, Rinda, [[Grub|"Grub"]], Pryn, Ovranzo, and Tanuryn regroup with their belongings, ready to begin the trip to Valikin's Landing. Rinda brings on a small chest of belongings and gifts Dalas [[Dalas' Tankard from the Diprosopus Goat|His Usual Tankard]]. She gives "Grub" [[Grub's Tankard from the Diprosopus Goat|his Tankard]] as well.
The group departs along the [[Southern Route out of Squall's End]].

Travel continues and the group arrives at [[Valikin's Landing]]. There is a line of carts and refugees waiting to get into the city. From outside the city they can see lines of ships as far as the eye can see waiting to come into port, while [[Balsorym's Castle]] stands in the craggy cliffs high above.
