[[Dalas Greybark]], [[Prynazalya]], [[Tanuryn]], [[Ovranzo]], [[Rinda]], [[Grub|"Grub"]], and [[Cormoran Damnstein]] arrive in [[Haven's Breach]] following [[Dalas and Pryn's Journey to Haven's Breach|Their Journey to Haven's Breach]].
At some point Pryn buys [[Two Normal Candles]].
At some point Pryn visits [[The Order of the Green Blades - Haven's Breach Headquarters]] and learns of [[Doran Iceblood|Sir Doran Iceblood]], the only Knight of the Green Blade in Haven's Breach, and his most trusted [[Squire]], [[Caled Farplain]], who ventured out of Haven's Breach one after another on a quest and have not returned.
Rinda begins working at [[Oneroad]]. Ovranzo finds his place at [[The Haven's Breach Forge]].

Dalas, looking for work, visits [[Rof Stonebelly]] at the [[Masonry Guild Headquarters - Haven's Breach|Masonry Guild]]. The old [[dwarf]] is listening to the stone when Dalas arrives and ignores him for several minutes before making his first strike on the stone and addressing Dalas.
Rof asks Dalas what the most important tool for a Mason is. Dalas responds "a rope", saying that a chiseled stone is useless if not put in place.
Rof accepts Dalas' answer and the two discuss work for Dalas', work for Dalas' [[Mule|Mules]] [[Miece]] and [[Flame Emperor]], and the masonry of [[Respite]].
The two come to an agreement and Dalas begins working for 2 [[Gold]] and 5 [[Silver]] per day's work
Over the remainder of the downtime Dalas buries himself in his work, both as a necessary means of survival, to distract himself from a growing feeling of powerlessness in the world.
At some point Rof explains that their access to [[Haven's Breach Quarry|the quarry]] has been cut off by monsters, and that they've reserved the rest of the stone they have for repairs until they can get access to the quarry again.
While working Dalas helps repair the foundations for one of the cranes on the cove side of the island for lifting goods off of ships and onto the highest level of Haven's Breach.
Dalas also helps repair some of the foundations to the supports of [[Bellevan Square]], where he occasionally sees [[Prynazalya|Pryn]] doing her practice and warmups for the day during sunrise.

Dalas visits the local [[Temple of Anbrelse (Haven's Breach)|Temple of Anbrelse]] where he privately observes the thirtieth anniversary of his [[Failed Green Blade Escort Mission]].
Dalas observes the priests in the temple: people who have dedicated their lives to helping others, and is reminded of his home, [[Respite]].
Dalas feels a vague sense of unfamiliarity here, as the Anbrelse faith is similar to the faith of the[[Saints of Respite]] in some ways and unlike in other ways.
Dalas leaves 1 [[Gold]] piece in the offering pool and thinks on the brave knights who have sacrificed themselves in his stead: [[Sigmund Call]], [[Rodrick Stonegate]], and [[Galad Steelsworn]], especially Galad's words of disgust for Dalas' cowardice. Dalas prays for the strength to live as they did and eventually departs.

Dalas visits [[Bottled Sand]] in the [[Stoneward]] for a drink. Inside he meets [[Akreas]], the [[Tiefling]] [[Bartender]].
Akreas, after a moment of studying Dalas, says that they do not have [[Hard Cider]] and offers him a [[Plum Cider]] instead. Dalas declines and orders an [[Imperial Ale]], looking for something more reminiscent of home.
Akreas brings Dalas his drink and also small glass engraved with the [[Door Emblem|symbol of a door]], filled with a golden ale, saying that might be more to Dalas' taste, before walking downstairs to the cellar.
Dalas drinks and thinks to himself about Akreas' uncanny ability to wordlessly guess his order, a quality that reminds Dalas of [[Rinda]]. Dalas wonders about the significance of the door etched into his other glass, and whether the door has some significance to [[Valikin's Landing]] like the establishment itself. Dalas enjoys the quiet and unbothered atmosphere of the tavern, as it successfully recreates the feeling of a mundane tavern in [[The Alavastian Empire|The Empire]], a familiarity that Dalas craves after the upending of his life and the continual oddity of Haven's Breach.
Dalas tries the second drink, it is a [[Wheat Ale]], like the kind brewed in [[Respite]]. Dalas is overwhelmed with a feeling of nostalgia for the home he left long ago.
While he drinks, he overhears two members of the [[The Archaeology Guild|Archaeology Guild]] discuss the group of [[Asher Yurei|two]] [[The Shark of Luma|adventurers]] that just returned from a [[Prologue of Asher Yurei, Yeepo and the Shark of Luma|quest]] to the southern bit of the [[Valendare Range]] where they finished scouting a [[The Precursors|Precursor]] temple. Apparently there was [[Yeepo|a Grippli]] inside the temple who returned to [[Haven's Breach]] with them.
Dalas eventually settles his tab and leaves.
