# Summary ## [[Ag's Performance with Cirque Dei Liberi]] # Adventure Log ## ???, [[Village Near Lake]] In a beautiful [[Village Near Lake|Village]] near [[East Coast Lake|A Lake]] on the [[East Coast of Lacodia]], [[Ag|The Shark of Luma]] finds himself traveling with [[Cirque dei Liberi]]. It is evening, and the people of the village are celebrating some occasion as they travel towards the circus tent. Ag, the Shark of Luma is preparing for the show, fiddling, frantically triple checking his supplies alongside [[Altabea]]. Altabea hums quietly as she prepares beside Ag. Eventually, they depart to the main tent where Ag runs into [[Alexei Marlowe]], the ringleader of the circus out front of the main tent. Ag finds Alexei handing out posters advertising the circus' show "Enchanted and Ancient". Alexi's outfit is faux-exotic, featuring feathers and leopard skins as he shouts out, promising crowds excitement of far away [[Xoctl]]. ([[Stealth]]) Ag manages to slip past him unnoticed as he draws in crowds. Ag doesn't like Alexei, he finds him manipulative. Ag wraps around the side of the tent, entering through the back. [[Ransko]] calls out to Ag, asking him for a wrench from 40 feet up in the rafters. ([[Athletics]]) Ag only manages to throw it 20 feet up. The acrobat [[Voari]] swings down to catch it, throwing it up the rest of the way to Ransko. Ag sees [[Teturok Stronghide]] moving a tank of water with a [[Reef Shark]] inside towards the center stage, which has a large pool of water. Teturok taunts Ag, calling him a coward for being afraid of sharks and insists he can control the beast. Ag insists he could handle the shark. Teturok calls Ag a freak and tells him to let him do his job so they all get paid. Ag relents. Teturok dumps the reef shark in the tank with several others. Ag is anxious about performing. He only performs to survive, and would much rather do magic, as he has seen Alexei doing in the past. Ag presses on despite his dislike for the job. He'd prefer to keep his clothes on and hide his fishy appearance, but strips down into just a "little speedo" as he's expected to put on a better show. Standing at the edge of the tank, Ag is met by [[Clias]]. She offers him a sandwich but Ag refuses, as he's about to swim. Clias complains about always eating fish, but Ag is used to it. Clias goes off on a tirade about all the [[Mammoth]] she used to eat up in [[The Hoarfrost]]. They joke about Alexei having some conspiracy to give them fish breath. Voari and [[Dispar]] finish up their acrobatics practice and offer to help Ag look fancier. Ag would rather blend into the shadows. Preparations wrap up for the show and Ag hypes himself up to perform. As the show begins, Alexei hypes up the crowd, using cantrips and low level spells to excite the crowd, monologuing about the ancient dangerous continent of [[Xoctl]] to the south as he introduces the show. Clias is up first, and walks out into the center of the tent to applause. Backstage, Teturok lets out a [[Rhino]], and a sort of matador act begins between the rhino and Clias, as she grapples the rhino and forces it to the ground before lifting the rhino into the air. Next, Voari and Dispar perform their acrobatic routine, flinging themselves over the shark tank and catching themselves on poles on either side coupled with a silks performance. Clias joins them and begins to throw them into the air adding to their performance as Alexei hypes them up. Next, Altabea sings from one of the higher platforms. Teturok releases birds that fly around Altabea to enhance her show. Finally, Ag performs. The shark tank is uncovered to *oohs* and *ahhs* from the audience. Alexei tells the crowd that their "hybrid shark boy" will can tame the sharks before introducing "The Shark of Luma!" Ag comes out slowly, fully covered from head to toe in clothing. He casually drops articles of clothing as he goes. Underneath it all he wears a necklace of seaweed which he throws into the shark tank for the sharks to eat ([[Performance]]). The crowd finds Ag's show goofy. Ag climbs the ladder to the diving board. At the top, he wills himself to shift into a more bestial form. His teeth become sharper, his fins pop. [[Spark]] gives a drum roll. Ag dives down into the shark tank and the crowd is impressed ([[Performance]]). The sharks swim in a ring around Ag. The sharks close in on Ag, sniffing him. he spins in the water and the sharks retreat, and Ag with them as they begin to swim in a ring. Ag disassociates as he swims, thinking of his parents, or sitting on the beach, drowning out the crowd and the danger of the sharks. The finale begins! Voari and Dispar renew their acrobatics above the shark pit. Clias holds a platform above head as Altabea sings again. Ag holds onto the dorsal fins of two of the sharks as they gain speed before throwing him flipping up into the air. Voari and Dispar are wrapping up their performance. Dispar reaches out to catch Voari as she flies through the air... and fails to catch her. She falls, breaking her leg before falling into the pool of sharks. Ag smells blood, and so do the sharks. Ag resists the urge to try to eat Voari and in [[Aquan]] tells the sharks to "fuck off" as Teturok also tries to dissuade the sharks from attacking ([[Animal Handling]]). The sharks ignore their commands and tear Voari apart. The crowd screams. Alexei tries to calm the crowd as they flee. The other performers try to rush to Voari's aid. Ag tries to avoid the sharks and push on Voari enough to knock her out of the pool ([[Acrobatics]]). He looks around and sees a hand. a foot. a shark charging at him, mouth wide open...
