![[sigmund_portrait.png]] # Overview Sigmund was a Male [[Human]] [[Paladin]] and [[Knight]] of [[The Order of the Green Blades]] from the distinguished [[The Call Family]] of [[Respite]]. He was the [[Knight-Mentor]] training [[Dalas Greybark]] and wielded [[The Crystal Blade, Fight to the Last]] until his death. As a member of [[The Call Family]], he was a descendant of two historic Knights of the Green Blade, [[Orator Call|Lord-Commander Orator Call]] and [[Caleb Call|Saint Caleb Call]]. # Description ## Appearance Sigmund was a human man of average height with a lithe build, pale, freckled skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes. ## Personality Sigmund was a serious and methodical man, and applied himself diligently and seriously to all matters. In his short time as a Knight he quickly silenced whispers of nepotism due to his being from [[The Call Family]]. # History Sigmund was born in [[1433 AoM]] and raised in [[The Call Family]] in [[Respite]] where he, like many of his family, joined [[The Order of the Green Blades]]. Sigmund ascended from [[Page]], to [[Squire]], and eventually to [[Knight|Knighthood]]. During his time in the Order, Sigmund became close friends with [[Rodrick Stonegate|Sir Rodrick Stonegate]]. Though Sigmund was relatively young for a Knight, he was chosen to wield the Crystal Blade, [[The Crystal Blade, Fight to the Last|Fight to the Last]], which had been so named for the valor of his ancestor, [[Caleb Call|Saint Caleb Call]]. In [[1456 AoM]] he recruited [[Dalas Greybark]] to [[The Order of the Green Blades]] after observing him try and fail in the first round of [[Glacialhide's Harvest of 1456|Glacialhide's Harvest]] three years in a row. Sigmund admired Dalas' persistence against the odds. He later chose Dalas as his [[Squire]]. ## [[Failed Green Blade Escort Mission]] ([[1458 AoM]]) Sigmund joined Rodrick and Dalas on a mission escorting a trade caravan south through [[Arzylia|The Arzylian Plain]]. After a few days of travel they were ambushed in the night, and Sigmund was killed quickly upon coming to the defense of the caravan.
