# Overview Vasily Skeingold was the patriarch of [[The Skeingold Family]], father of [[Kevish Skeingold|Kevish]], [[Rezan Skeingold|Rezan]], [[Lazhna Whitesmith|Fiska]], [[Zira Skeingold|Zira]], [[Vesya Skeingold|Vesya]], [[Kitri Skeingold|Kitri]], and [[Menekil Skeingold]], ex-husband to [[Oriya Skeingold]], [[Ketrine]], [[Petra Gavonenko]], and husband to [[Sirina Skeingold]], the head of [[Skeingold Traders]]. In addition to being a piece of shit father throughout his life, he was a victim of the plot of [[The Claw of Tiamat]], who, through [[Sirina Skeingold|Sirina]], used him to gain access to the magical resources of his trading company. This plot came to an explosive end in [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] when Vasily was possessed by the dark spirit [[Cruar'Nol]] and ultimately killed by [[The Boy Scout Boys]]. Vasily later returned as a [[Revenant]], somehow combined with [[Cruar'Nol]] and possessing the corpse of an [[The Royal Guards|Alavastian Royal Guard]], seeking his daughter [[Lazhna Whitesmith|Fiska]]. # Description ## Appearance In life, Vasily was  a shortish human man, with a trim build and ostentatious style of dress and presentation. He has small watery blue eyes, thin, fine blonde hair and keeps a well groomed mustache. In undeath, his spirit inhabited the body of a [[The Royal Guards|Alavastian Royal Guard]] that eventually withered away to just a skeleton. ## Personality Vasily was a piece of shit. At some point he started (or maybe inherited?) [[Skeingold Traders]]. ### 1st Wife ([[1433 AoM|1433]]-[[1437 AoM]]) His first wife was [[Oriya Skeingold]], with whom he had [[Kevish Skeingold|Kevish]] and [[Rezan Skeingold]]. She later died of an illness. ### 2nd Wife ([[1437 AoM|1437]]-[[1440 AoM]]) His second wife was [[Ketrine]], with whom he has [[Lazhna Whitesmith|Fiska Skeingold]]. Ketrine was later discovered to be a [[Changeling]]. She was captured by [[The Gavony City Watch]] but escaped. Vasily faked her death rather than tell the children the truth, going so far as to insinuate that he killed her, or at least did not stop her death. As a result, Vasily developed a cold relationship with Fiska. ### 3rd Wife ([[1441 AoM|1441]]-[[1451 AoM]]) A year and a half later he married his third wife, [[Petra Gavonenko]], with whom he had [[Zira Skeingold|Zira]], [[Vesya Skeingold|Vesya]], and [[Kitri Skeingold]]. They later divorced. ### 4th Wife ([[1451 AoM]]-[[1458 AoM]]) His fourth wife was [[Sirina Skeingold]], with whom he had [[Menekil Skeingold]]. At some point, Sirina gifted him [[Vasily's Amulet|An Amulet]] at [[Letho of Vislatre]]'s request. ## [[The Boy Scout Boys Campaign]] ([[1458 AoM|1458]]-[[1459 AoM]]) ### [[Verrisi's Return to Kessig Monastery]]? Around this time, Vasily discovered that Fiska was a [[Changeling]] like her mother. He was displeased, leading Fiska to fear for her life. Around this time, Vasily received [[Vasily's Invitation|An Invitation]] to [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] supposedly from [[Vernon Rahd]], [[Krashaprovos]]' [[Master of Coin]]. ### [[Post-Reclamation of Erba Terra Downtime]] Vasily arrived in [[Krashaprovos]], opening a stall in [[The Griffon Ward]] and planning his attendance of[[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]]. ### [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] At [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] while being questioned by [[Isaac Lestat]] about the death of [[Victor Drabek]], Vasily summoned [[Cruar'Nol]], who possessed Vasily. Together, they began a slaughter before being defeated and killed by [[The Boy Scout Boys]]. ### [[The Investigation of The Crown]] Vasily's soul inhabits the body of an [[The Royal Guards|Alavastian Royal Guard]]. He returns as a [[Revenant]], tracks down and and confronts [[Lazhna]] in [[The Reef]] who quickly escapes. ## Interlude ([[1459 AoM]]-[[1488 AoM]]) At some point following [[The Investigation of The Crown]] Vasily becomes stuck in [[Krashaprovos Sewer System]] beneath [[The Reef]], unable to act out his lingering business in the world of the living. ### [[Unlucky in Krashaprovos]] ([[1464 AoM]]) Vasily, now a skeletal corpse, is rediscovered by [[The Unlucky Crew]] and [[New Guy]], trapped in a door where he has been some time. Thinking he is just a corpse, they unlock the door and walk through.
