# Overview Rilan Forgeflame is a Male [[Human]] [[Paladin]] and a [[Squire]] of [[The Order of the Green Blades]] that trained alongside [[Dalas Greybark]] around [[1458 AoM]], before Dalas deserted the order. Rilan trained under [[Rodrick Stonegate|Sir Rodrick Stonegate]] prior to his death. Rilan eventually started going by "Doran Iceblood", joined [[The Society of Doors]], and went to [[Haven's Breach]]. # Description ## Appearance Rilan is a human man. He is blue for some reason. ## Personality Rilan has a fiery personality. As a member of The Green Blades from the relatively prestigious [[The Forgeflame Family|Forgeflame Family]], he feels the weight on his shoulders. The pressure he feels to succeed fuels a deadly focus. Rodrick once commented that Rilan has "fire in his veins". # History ## Early Life ([[1442 AoM|1442]]-[[1456 AoM]]) Rilan Forgeflame was born in [[1442 AoM|1442]] into [[The Forgeflame Family]], who runs the prestigious [[Forgeflame Masterworks]] smithy in [[Respite|The City of Respite]]. He was named after [[Rilan Frosthand]], famous [[The Heroes of The Battle of Respite|Hero of the Battle of Respite]] and founding member of [[The Order of the Green Blades]]. Throughout his childhood, he had a rivalry with [[Dalas Greybark]], they younger son of the less prestigious [[Greybark Steel]]. He was later accepted into [[The Order of the Green Blades]] as a [[Page]] alongside Dalas and their fellow learner, [[Corva Lightleaf]]. Rilan's rivalry with Dalas continued into their knightly training, with Rilan outperforming Dalas in every way except academics. ### [[Training With Rilan]] ([[1457 AoM]]) Rilan was present for [[Rodrick Stonegate|Sir Rodrick Stonegate]]'s inspection of the cohort of pages training in [[Call Keep]]. Rodrick singled out Rilan and questioned his work ethic, his physical combat skills, and the power of his [[Oath|Oath Magic]]. Rilan impressed Rodrick by performing a powerful [[Searing Smite]], destroying a training dummy. Eventually, Rodrick chose Rilan as his [[Squire]]. ### [[Failed Green Blade Escort Mission]] ([[1458 AoM]]) Rilan lost contact with his old rival [[Dalas Greybark]] after his disappearance. Presumably, Rilan continued his training with a new [[Knight-Mentor]] following the death of [[Rodrick Stonegate|Sir Rodrick Stonegate]]. ## Knighthood and The Society of Doors ([[1457 AoM|1457]]-[[1488 AoM]]) Rilan eventually became a [[Knight]] and the wielder of [[Rilan Forgeflame's Crystal Blade]]. He later secretly became a member of [[The Society of Doors]] and, against the orders of the Order, took [[Squire|Squires]] [[Ravenna Elwood]], [[Marty Greenfield]], [[Caled Farplain]], and [[Carter Blackcreek]] to [[Haven's Breach]] and founded [[The Order of the Green Blades - Haven's Breach Headquarters|The Green Blade Headquarters]] there. Most of his Squires seemed to not know the true nature of their mission. Apparently, he took on this work at [[Balsorym]]'s request, though it's unclear if that's true.
