He was once the [[Pastor]] of [[Tymora Chapel]] and a central figure of [[The Claw of Tiamat]] before being killed by [[The Boy Scout Boys]]. Ultimately, Jeremiah was resurrected as a [[Cambion]] by [[Hell Epilogue Devil|Another Devil]] in exchange for his [[Soul]]. He now seeks revenge and profit. # Description ## Appearance Jeremiah is a red skinned half-devil with a Cheshire smile, horns, burning red eyes, wings, goat hooves, a barbed tail and a forked tongue. Before [[The Corruption of Jeremiah Copeland|His Transformation]], he was an older [[Human]] man. ## Personality Jeremiah is charismatic, greedy, conniving, and savvy. He possesses a psychopathic lack of concern of what others think of his wrongdoing. ## Gallery ![[Jeremiah_Full.png]] *Jeremiah as he appeared in [[1489 AoM]]* # History ## Early History (???-[[1458 AoM]]) Jeremiah's early history is unknown. At some point he became the [[Pastor]] of [[Tymora Chapel]] in [[Krashaprovos]] and secretly joined [[The Claw of Tiamat]] of which he became a prominent figure. ### [[The Fall of Erba Terra]] and [[Dracos' Wyrmling Experiments]] Jeremiah maintained contact with [[Dracos]] throughout his [[Dracos' Wyrmling Experiments|Experiments]]. Jeremiah seems to have coordinated with the Claw and [[Pirate]] forces on [[Erba Terra]] in smuggling rare and magical artifacts into [[Krashaprovos]] to empower [[Y'Driltha's Hoard]]. At some point in this time, Jeremiah began to impersonate [[Vernon Rahd]], Krashaprovos' [[Master of Coin]], forging his signature to invite [[Vasily Skeingold]] and [[Sirina Skeingold]] to [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] under false pretenses. ## [[The Boy Scout Boys Campaign]] ([[1458 AoM|1458]]-[[1459 AoM]]) ### [[Grom's Investigation of Tymora Chapel]] Eventually, [[Grom]] of [[The Daily Port's Call (Newspaper)|The Daily Port's Call]] found evidence of Jeremiah's smuggling and began to investigate the Pastor. Grom shared his suspicions with [[The Boy Scout Boys]]. ### [[The Flamerule Fete of 1458]] Jeremiah attended the Flamerule Fete where he was questioned by Grom about the smuggling operation, though he was not forthcoming with Grom. When Jeremiah noticed [[Or]] cast [[Detect Thoughts]] on him, Jeremiah was completely unconcerned and simply smiled at Or. Despite his dealings with the cult, Jeremiah was seemingly uninvolved with the murder of [[Victor Drabek]] or [[Cruar'Nol]]'s attack later that night. ### [[The Investigation of The Crown]] Jeremiah attends an audience with [[Y'Driltha The Grave|Queen-Mother Maria Louisa Mallek]] (secretly, the leader of [[The Claw of Tiamat]], [[Y'Driltha The Grave]]) at [[The Keep]] in [[Krashaprovos]] where he requests funds for [[Tymora Chapel]] and is granted 20 [[Platinum]]. ### [[Grom Rescue Mission]] Jeremiah with the help of four [[Dark Angel|Dark Angels]]: [[Gabriel (Dark Angel)|Gabriel]], [[Ibis]], [[Mallekai]], and [[Dark Angel Wizard|One Other]], kidnaps [[Grom]], dragging him into the catacombs of [[Tymora Chapel]]. [[The Boy Scout Boys]] quickly learned of Grom's disappearance and chased after Jeremiah into the chapel, where Jeremiah trapped them in their own visions to buy time. Eventually freeing themselves, the party chased Jeremiah into the depths of the temple, where they discovered evidence of his impersonation of [[Vernon Rahd]], his connection to the smuggling ring operating out of Erba Terra, and eventually, a portal to [[The Nine Hells]] with Jeremiah, Grom, and his Dark Angels about to enter. Battle ensued, both inside and outside of the hells ending in the deaths of Jeremiah and the angels and Grom's rescue. Ultimately, Grom published his findings on the Tymora Chapel in [[The Daily Port's Call of 23 Flamerule 1458|An Issue of The Daily Port's Call]]. ## Interlude ([[1459 AoM|1459]]-[[1488 AoM]]) ### [[The Corruption of Jeremiah Copeland]] In the depths of [[Avernus]], charred and tortured. Jeremiah is visited by [[Hell Epilogue Devil|A Devil]] who promises power in exchange for his soul. Jeremiah agrees, and the devil transforms him into a [[Cambion|Half-Devil]].
