![[Gorror_Portrait.png]] # Overview Gorror was an 18-year-old Male [[Orc]] [[Fiend Patron]] [[Warlock]] and the [[Chief|Chieftain]] of [[The Dark Scar Tribe]]. Forced into leadership and battle while inexperienced after the death of his father [[Gurzen of Dark Scar|Gurzen]], Gorror embraced a dark power out of desperation to save his people from being forcibly assimilated into [[Urgan's Army]]. He was a descendant of [[The 13 Great Orcish Bloodlines]] one of [[The Chieftains]] that opposed [[Urgan, Doombringer|Urgan]] in [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]], during which he was twice killed by [[Urgan, Doombringer]]. # Description ## Appearance Gorror is a boyish young man, barely of age. He has a slim, frail build with no facial hair and short black hair that stands straight up, like the bristles of a brush. His skin is a deep green color and he has yellow eyes. He is short for an Orc man, standing at 6'0", larger than one would think for his boyish features. In battle, he wears the signature glossy black warpaint of his tribe. ## Personality Gorror is a earnest, but softspoken young man, seemingly devoid of the aggression and forcefulness emblematic of an Orc. Regardless, he does his best to live up to the expectations of his people and project strength, though it's clearly a facade. # History ## Early History ([[1439 AoM|1439]]-[[1457 AoM]]) Gorror was born in [[1439 AoM]] in [[The Dark Scar]], the son of [[Gurzen of Dark Scar|Chieftain Gurzen]]. Gorror was always a small and frail boy, especially by Orc standards, and so while he was not enthusiastically embraced by the tribe, his status as the chieftain's son ensured he was not ostracized either. Gorror applied himself diligently to his duties as the son of the chieftain, eager to make his father proud and one day inherit his title, despite the sting of the tribe's ambivalence towards him. His father died recently in battle against [[Urgan's Army]] and Gorror, still an untested youth barely of age, is now forced to lead his people as their new Chieftain they imminently face annihilation or assimilation. Gorror hears the whispers of his people, though they try to hide them. They see him as unready, and themselves doomed in turn. Desperate to bring any hope to his people, to make his late father proud, overwhelmed with his new responsibilities and the stress of his station, Gorror spent his nights pleading with whatever powers of the cosmos would listen to him, begging and pleading for the strength to lead his people to victory. *Something*, *[[Gorror's Patron|Someone]]*, has given him what he wants. At what cost, Gorror knows not. ## [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]] ([[1457 AoM]]) ![[The Chieftains' Last Stand#^Summary]] ## Legacy Gorror's body was eventually found and buried by [[Meat]]. In death, Gorror was honored by [[Tarok of Oaith|Chieftain Tarok]], who placed a [[Tribute to Gorror]] in [[Oaith Oasis]] so that his sacrifice would be remembered. As Gorror had no heirs, the succession of the title of [[Chief|Chieftain]] of [[The Dark Scar Tribe]] was unclear, leading to infighting and turmoil within a wounded and fractured tribe. The Dark Scar Tribe faced endless misfortunes in the following years. Gorror's soul resides in [[The Nine Hells]], forever the property of [[Gorror's Patron|His Patron]]. # Inventory - [[Whispering Cloak]] - [[Rod of the Pact Keeper, +1]] - [[Ring of Eldritch Fulmination]] # Spells ## Cantrips - [[Douse Light]] - [[Eldritch Blast]] - [[Minor Illusion]] ## Level 1 - [[Burning Hands]] - [[Command]] - [[Hellish Rebuke]] - [[Hex]] ## Level 2 - [[Hold Person]] - [[Invisibility]] - [[Mirror Image]] - [[Scorching Ray]] - [[Suggestion]] ## Level 3 - [[Counterspell]] - [[Fireball]] - [[Mote of Hell]] - [[Remove Curse]] - [[Stinking Cloud]] ## Level 4 - [[Arcane Eye]] - [[Fire Shield]] - [[Spider Song]] - [[Wall of Fire]] ## Level 5 - [[Bone Cage]] - [[Geas]] - [[Infernal Calling]] - [[Insect Plague]] # [[Eldritch Invocations]] - [[Eldritch Mind]] - [[Repelling Blast]] - [[Devil's Sight]] - [[One with Shadows]] - [[Eldritch Spear]] - [[Agonizing Blast]] - [[Visions of Distant Realms]] # Proficiencies ## Skills - [[History]] - [[Perception]] - [[Persuasion]] - [[Religion]] ## Tools - [[Lute]] ## Languages - [[Abyssal]] - [[Common]] - [[Infernal]] - [[Orcish]] # Feats - [[Spell Sniper]] (Charisma) - [[Musician]] ([[Lute]]) # Trivia - Gorror is a talented musician and singer, having learned the [[Lute]] from a [[Family of Halfling Bards]]. - [[Lingering Injury|Lingering Injuries]] - Wounded, Chest (vs. [[Urgan, Doombringer|Urgan]] in [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]]) - Mangled, Right Arm (vs. Orc Soldier in [[Urgan's Army]] in [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]]) - Wounded, Back (vs. [[Kazak Ironspell]] in [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]])
