![[Urgan_Portrait.png]] # Overview Urgan is a male [[Orc]] [[Barbarian]], the leader of [[Urgan's Army]] and the wielder of [[The Soul Axe]], which becomes more powerful with each creature it slays. In the past, he was a member of the [[Crag Duroshk Gladiators]] before claiming his axe and raising an army, leading to [[The Fall of Crag Duroshk]]. In the decades following, he has waged war across [[Xoctl]] and [[Lacodia]] as the aggressor in [[The Conquest of Urgan, Doombringer]], going so far as to successfully lay siege to [[Valikin's Landing]]. # Description ## Appearance Urgan is a large, muscular Orc. He did not hail from any of [[The 13 Great Orcish Bloodlines]] and instead moved from tribe to tribe, declaring himself the leader of each tribe he joined and ultimately being ousted. Eventually, Urgan became a [[Gladiator]] in [[The Pit of Doom]] in [[Crag Duroshk]]. ## [[The Fall of Crag Duroshk]] ([[1453 AoM]]) Urgan was forced to fight in [[The Pit of Doom]] in [[Crag Duroshk]] alongside [[Or (Gladiator)]], [[Xoruh]], and [[Ayula, Daughter of Goreclaw]]. During their challenges, Urgan was granted a [[The Soul Axe|cursed axe]] that strengthens itself with the souls of it's victims. Together, the gladiators survived the challenges set before them, and they were eventually able to escape. Possessed by his axe's hunger for power, Urgan raised an [[Urgan's Army|Army]] and laid waste to [[Crag Duroshk]], eventually killing [[Dalk the Tyrant]] and claiming Crag Duroshk for himself. After his escape, he and his army began to wage war across [[Xoctl]] and [[Lacodia]]. ## [[The Conquest of Urgan, Doombringer]] ([[1453 AoM|1453]]-[[1489 AoM]]) ### [[Urgan's Unification of the Tribes of the Badlands]] ([[1453 AoM|1453]]-[[1457 AoM]]) ![[Urgan's Unification of the Tribes of the Badlands]] ### [[The Chieftains' Last Stand]] ([[1457 AoM]]) Urgan and his allies were interrupted in the midst of completing their [[Ritual to Open the Sigil of Gruumsh|Ritual]] by [[The Chieftains]] and combat quickly ensued. Urgan killed [[Gorror of Dark Scar]] and [[Kallagar]] and brought low [[Gorror's Patron]], but ultimately the chieftains were successful in foiling the ritual, causing planar instability and ultimately a violent implosion that seemed to take Urgan's life. ### Escalating Conflict ([[1457 AoM|1457]]-[[1488 AoM|1488 AoM]]) Somehow, Urgan returned. [[The Conquest of Urgan, Doombringer]] intensified in this time, with Urgan at it's head. [[Balsorym Prepares for War|At Some Point]] Urgan killed an [[Xoctl Gold Dragon|Ancient Gold Dragon]] somewhere in [[Xoctl]] in this time.
